Client Background:
Sathish Bala an entrepreneur with a lot of zest and drive operates Open Stage, He runs a series of live music events that gives opportunities for South Asian musicians to show off their skills. Sathish envisions a mobile app that allows local talent to use his Open Stage service as means to help generate income through fan interests. The App would also operate as ‘mobile’ studio. Artists would be able to have their profiles posted plus be able to list their performance venues.The key feature item for utilizing the Open Stage app is the QR code generator. Inception Sheet and Moodboard
A contemporary feel was the direction my teammate I were aiming for. When it came to developing the inception sheet and moodboard, I aimed to keep the language simple and the colours to be vibrant. We wanted to ensure the colour and the hues would reflect a more nightclub ambience.
Style Guide
I formulated a style guide that would serve as the basis to to dressing up the mid fidelities. We kept Openstage's original colour scheme but enhanced the range by favouring grey tones to better balance out nature of the of the mobile app

Final UI
The 'dark mode' layout better communicated the nature of the Open Stage app. The graphite grey lent itself better than the initial white backdrop that was originally planned (Please read case study for more information)
A FAB button was also included to assist as a dual action button of either creating events or a QR code. Within the the artists profile we also designed a monetary listing which indicated the amount of tips that the fans contributed during past events.
